The weekly email and other notifications
Every email Blog AI sends: the Monday digest, publishing results, credit warnings, billing and Google notices, and how to turn off the optional ones.

Blog AI sends a small number of emails: a weekly summary, a monthly note about what's new and a reminder when a site has gone quiet, all of which you can turn off, and account emails you need to know about, such as a failed publish or a card problem. This article lists them all, when they're sent and how to control them. Emails come from Blog AI at noreply@email.blogaihq.com; replying reaches our support inbox.
The weekly digest
Every Monday morning, Blog AI emails a summary of the week before for each of your sites:
- What you published last week
- Posts that moved: the posts whose clicks from Google rose or fell most over the latest seven days Search Console has reported, compared with the seven before. The email names the dates, because Google's data runs a few days behind.
- Suggestions waiting for your review
If there's nothing to report (no posts, no movement, no suggestions), no email is sent. You won't get an empty digest.
The digest is on by default. Turn it off in Settings under Email preferences, or with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any digest.
Product updates
Once a month, a short email about what's new in Blog AI: the main changes from our changelog, each with a link to try it. It's on by default. Turn it off in Settings under Email preferences (it's listed as Product updates (monthly what's new)), or with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of these emails.
Posting reminders
If a site hasn't published anything for a while and nothing is scheduled for the next seven days, Blog AI sends a friendly reminder with up to three of your unused ideas (each with a link to write it) and a link to your calendar. Posts published outside Blog AI count too, so you won't be reminded if you post another way.
- The first reminder comes after 14 days without a post. You can change that to 7 or 30 days in Settings under Email preferences.
- If things stay quiet, one more comes at 30 days (or 60, if you chose 30). Then nothing until you publish again.
- Reminders are on by default. Switch them off in Settings, or with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any reminder.
The same reminder also appears at the top of your action list on the dashboard while the site is quiet.
Emails that are always sent
These are about your account, billing, publishing or your Google connection, so they're sent whatever your preferences:
| When | |
|---|---|
| Welcome | When you first sign in |
| Post published | When a scheduled post goes live on your site |
| Publishing failed | When a scheduled post couldn't be published, with the reason |
| Google needs reconnecting | When Google stops sharing your data; at most once a week per Google connection |
| Credits running low | When your balance drops low after spending, and again when it reaches zero; once per top-up or renewal |
| Plan changes | When your plan starts, is upgraded, downgraded or cancelled |
| Payment failed | Each time a renewal payment fails, with a link to update your card |
| Referral credits earned | When a friend you referred pays for their first month and you get credits |
| Account deleted | Confirmation after you delete your account |
Receipts and invoices come from Stripe, our payment provider, not from Blog AI. You can also find every invoice under Manage subscription & invoices on the Billing page.
Emails are never sent twice for the same event. If you get two similar emails, they're about two different things (for example, two different failed payment attempts).
Emails from the free blog audit
The free blog audit only emails you if you ask it to ("Email me this report"). If you also ticked the optional box for tips and confirmed it from that email, you get two short follow-ups about your audit, and nothing more for now. Each of those emails has an unsubscribe link. See The free blog audit explained.
Changing your preferences
- Open Settings. Go to Settings.
- Find Email preferences. It lists the weekly digest, posting reminders and product updates with a switch for each.
- Switch off what you don't want. Changes save straight away.
The unsubscribe link in the digest, posting reminder and product-update emails works with one click, without signing in.
Not receiving emails?
- Check spam or promotions folders, and add
email.blogaihq.comto your safe senders. - Check the address. Emails go to the address on the Google account you sign in with, shown in the account menu.
- A bounce stops emails. If an earlier email to your address bounced or was marked as spam, we stop emailing that address to protect deliverability. Contact us and we'll help.
- The digest skips quiet weeks by design.
