The product
What Blog AI does, who it suits and where it publishes.
What is Blog AI?
Blog AI runs your blog from your own search data. It reads your Google Search Console to find what to write or fix, writes posts in your voice with sources it has checked, publishes them to WordPress or Strapi, and then shows you what each post did. Built on the latest AI models, including Claude for writing and Jev (TypeSafe) for fact-checking.
Who is Blog AI for?
Mostly small businesses with a blog that has gone quiet, and small agencies running blogs for clients. You don't need to know SEO: every suggestion comes with a plain-English reason. Plans cover 1 to 10 sites.
Which websites can Blog AI publish to?
WordPress, connected with an application password, and Strapi, connected with an API token. Both support publishing straight away, scheduling, and updating a post that is already live. Shopify is coming soon, with no date yet, and other platforms are on the roadmap. If your site runs on something else, the free blog audit still works, and we would like to hear what you use.
Does Blog AI publish posts without me?
No. You approve the ideas, read each draft and choose when it goes live, either straight away or at a time you schedule. Blog AI does the research, writing, checking and publishing work; you make the decisions. A post with an unsupported statistic cannot be published at all until you resolve it.
Is Blog AI an SEO tool?
Only in part. It finds content opportunities in your own Search Console data, writes and refreshes posts, and improves how posts look in Google's results. It doesn't track rankings, build backlinks or crawl your site for technical problems, so keep your other tools for those jobs.
Which AI models does Blog AI use?
Built on the latest AI models, including Claude for writing and Jev (TypeSafe) for fact-checking. We run our own quality tests on every prompt or model change, and only switch models when a newer one does better on them.
Content quality
Voice, sources, fact-checking and what you still review.
How does the fact-checking work?
The writer researches your topic on the live web and cites a source for each claim. A separate checker then reads each cited source and compares it with the sentence that cites it. If a statistic isn't supported by its source, the post is marked as needing review, and publishing is blocked until you fix the sentence, add a better source or confirm it yourself.
Does fact-checking mean every post is correct?
No, and we won't claim it. The checker makes it far harder for an invented statistic to slip through, but it checks cited claims against their sources; it can't judge every opinion or piece of advice in a post. You still read each post before it goes live, and you remain responsible for what you publish.
Will the posts sound like me?
That's the aim. Blog AI learns a voice profile from your existing posts, or from a description in your own words if your blog is new. The profile covers your tone, sentence rhythm, person and tense, vocabulary, formatting habits and the phrases you never use, and you can edit it at any time.
Can I edit a post before it goes live?
Yes. Every post opens in an editor where you can change the text, the title and the search details (the title and description Google shows). Earlier versions are kept, so you can restore one if you change your mind.
Will Blog AI get me to the top of Google?
Nobody can honestly promise that, and we don't. What Blog AI does is point your effort at searches where your site already appears, write useful posts for them, and show you exactly what each post did afterwards, so you can see what's working.
Do I have to say my posts were written with AI?
That depends on your industry and where you are. Some sectors and places have disclosure rules for AI-assisted content, so check what applies to you. Our own blog says when a post was written with Blog AI's help.
Google data
What we read from Search Console and Analytics, and why.
What Google permissions does Blog AI need?
Read-only access to Google Search Console (searches, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position for your pages) and, optionally, read-only access to Google Analytics 4 (sessions and engagement for your posts). Blog AI never changes anything in your Google account, and you can remove its access at any time in your Google account settings.
Why does Blog AI need Search Console?
Search Console shows the searches your site already appears for and how often people click. Blog AI uses that to find posts worth writing, posts worth refreshing and posts that compete with each other, and to measure every post afterwards. Without it, you can still write posts on topics you choose, but the ideas, the Actions list and the reports have nothing to work from.
What if my site isn't in Search Console yet?
Add it first: it's free, and Google walks you through verifying that you own the site. A new site may show few searches for a while. Blog AI still finishes its first sync, and the free post works however few searches it finds.
How up to date is the performance data?
Blog AI syncs your Search Console and Analytics data every day. Google's own data runs a couple of days behind, so the latest days in any report are always a little incomplete.
Plans, credits and billing
Prices, credits, top-ups, changing plans and cancelling.
How much does Blog AI cost?
There are three monthly plans: Starter $49 a month with 40 credits and 1 site; Pro $129 a month with 120 credits and 3 sites; Agency $299 a month with 400 credits and 10 sites. Prices are in US dollars, and VAT may be added at checkout. You can also start on the free plan without a card.
What are credits?
Credits pay for the work that uses AI: a researched, fact-checked post costs 3 credits, and ideas, images, refreshes and merges cost less. Publishing, scheduling, editing, uploads, the audit, reports, AI-visibility tracking and a better title and description in Google (when your data shows a post needs one) don't use credits at all.
Do unused credits expire?
No. Unused credits roll over from month to month, and they stay in your account if you cancel. Deleting your account is the one thing that removes them, because it removes everything.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Anything that needs credits waits until you have enough; nothing else stops working. You can buy a top-up (10 credits for $15, 30 credits for $45, 50 credits for $75) at any time without changing plan, or move up a plan. Top-up credits cost $1.50 each, more than any plan's, so a plan is better value if you run out every month.
Am I charged if something fails?
No. Credits are only charged when the work succeeds. When a post is being written, its credits are reserved; if the job fails, the reservation is released and the credits come straight back to your balance. Your credit history on the Billing page shows every charge and release.
Can I change plans?
Yes, from the Billing page. An upgrade starts straight away: you pay the difference for the rest of the month and get the matching share of the extra credits. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep this month's credits.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from the Billing page; your plan runs until the end of the period you've paid for and then stops. There's no cancellation fee, but we don't refund part-used months. Your unused credits, posts and reports stay in your account.
Can I add more sites to my plan?
Each plan includes a set number of sites (Starter 1, Pro 3, Agency 10). Need more sites? Move up a plan or talk to us. Extra sites aren't sold separately.
Is there a yearly plan?
Not yet. Every plan is billed monthly, and you can cancel at any time.
Are prices shown with VAT?
Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. VAT may be added at checkout, depending on where you are. You can add your VAT number and download invoices from the billing portal.
How do I pay?
By card, through Stripe. Blog AI never sees or stores your card number. Every payment has an invoice you can download from the billing portal.
Is AI-visibility tracking included in the plans?
Yes, without credits. Starter tracks up to 10 questions a site in Claude; Pro tracks up to 25 questions a site in Claude; Agency tracks up to 50 questions a site in Claude. More AI assistants coming soon. Tracking runs weekly.
The free plan
What you get without a card, and the conditions.
Can I use Blog AI for free?
Yes. Sign in with Google, add one site and connect Search Console, with no card. You get the content audit, your ranked list of suggested actions, the performance report, one AI-visibility snapshot of up to 5 questions, and one free post once Search Console has synced and you've set your voice. After that, plans start at $49 a month.
Is the free plan time-limited?
No. It isn't a trial: the audit, the Actions list and the performance report stay free for as long as you use them. The free post and the AI-visibility snapshot are one-offs. We may change or end free features in future, and we'll tell you by email first.
What are the conditions for the free post?
Your site needs Google Search Console connected and synced at least once, and you need to have set your writing voice. It's one post (worth 3 credits) per person and per Search Console property, and it's for accounts that have never had a paid plan. The free credits can only be used for that post.
Do I need a card to start?
No. You only add a card when you choose a plan or buy a top-up. Nothing is charged automatically when the free post is used.
What happens after my free post?
Everything free keeps working. To write more posts, choose a plan (from $49 a month) or use credits from a top-up or referrals. Starter covers about 13 posts a month if you spend every credit on posts.
Referrals
How the give-and-get credits work.
Is there a referral programme?
Yes: give 10 credits, get 10. Share your personal link from the dashboard. When a friend signs up with it and pays for their first month on any plan, they get 10 bonus credits on top of their plan's, and you get 10.
When do referral credits arrive?
When your friend's first subscription payment goes through, not when they sign up. They need to create a new account from your link during that visit, or within 60 days if they accepted cookies. We email you when your credits arrive.
Is there a limit on referrals?
You can earn referral credits for up to 20 friends in any 12 months. Beyond that, your friends still get their 10 credits. Referring yourself (another account with the same email address, payment card or website) earns nothing.
What if my friend gets a refund?
If the qualifying payment is refunded or reversed, the referral credits are removed in the same proportion from both of you, even if that takes a balance below zero. The next credits you receive pay that off first.
The free blog audit
The instant audit you can run without an account.
What is the free blog audit?
A quick look at your blog from the outside, with no account, no email and no Google access needed. In about 30 seconds you get a score out of 100 and the three problems worth fixing first, with examples from your own posts: things like posts hidden from Google, broken links, a missing sitemap, old or thin posts and missing search descriptions. A free account shows every issue and adds your Search Console data.
How is the audit score worked out?
Every site starts at 100, and each problem the audit finds takes points off by how serious it is: 15 for a serious one, 8 for a medium one and 3 for a minor one. The thresholds are the same for every site. A check we couldn't run, such as page speed when Google's service is busy, costs nothing.
What happens to my audit data?
We read only public pages and follow your robots.txt. Audits and their results are deleted after 30 days, unless you save one to a free account. We only have your email address if you ask us to email you the report, and we send tips only if you tick the separate box and confirm.
How do I stop the audit reading my site?
Add a rule for the user agent "BlogAI-Check" to your robots.txt. The audit follows robots.txt and reads nothing it disallows.
Security and your data
Where data lives, who processes it and how to delete it.
Where is my data stored?
Your account data is stored in the EU. The AI and analytics providers we use are listed, with their locations, in our privacy policy.
How are my WordPress, Strapi and Google credentials kept?
Encrypted, in a secrets vault inside our database, and read only by the server when it needs to publish or sync. They're never sent to your browser. You can replace or remove them at any time.
Is my content used to train AI models?
No. We don't sell your data or use it to train general-purpose AI models, and our AI provider doesn't train its models on data sent through its commercial API.
Who owns the posts Blog AI writes?
You do. You own the content you create with Blog AI, and the content and data you bring to it. We claim no rights over it.
Can I export my data or delete my account?
Yes, both from Settings. Export downloads everything we hold about you. Deleting your account removes your data straight away and cancels any subscription; posts already published stay on your own website.
