The fixes worth doing first, each with examples from your own posts and why it matters.
Add your Google data
Create a free account to see every issue, then connect Search Console to find posts losing traffic or close to page one.
How the audit works
The audit is for anyone with a blog, whether or not you use Blog AI. It reads only what the public can see, so it needs no password and no access to your Google account.
Step 1: Enter your website
Type your site's address, like example.com. No email, no password and no Google access needed.
Step 2: We read your blog
We find your posts from your sitemap, RSS feed or WordPress blog and read up to 50 of the newest, plus the links inside them. It usually takes about 30 seconds.
Step 3: See your score and top 3 problems
The results open on the page as soon as they're ready, with a link you can share. Want a copy? Email it to yourself.
Step 4: See everything, free
Create a free account with Google or your email to see every issue with each affected post, and connect Search Console to add your Google data.
What the audit checks
Every check is plain code, the same for every site. Each problem comes with examples from your own posts.
- Hidden from Google: posts or a homepage with a "noindex" tag or header, often left over from a staging site.
- Broken links: links inside your posts to pages on your site that no longer exist (we follow up to 40).
- Sitemap: whether you have one, and whether it loads.
- Days since your last post and how many posts went out in the last 90 days.
- Old posts: the share not updated in about 18 months.
- Missing search descriptions and duplicate titles.
- Thin posts: under 600 words.
- Orphan posts: posts none of your other posts link to.
- Images without alt text and past years in titles.
- Page speed on mobile for your homepage and newest post, measured by Google PageSpeed Insights.
How the score works
Every site starts at 100. Each problem takes points off by how serious it is: 15 for a serious one (like posts hidden from Google), 8 for a medium one (like several broken links) and 3 for a minor one (like a few images without alt text). 80 or more is in good shape, 50 to 79 has room to improve, under 50 needs work. A check we couldn't run costs nothing.
What we read, and what we don't
- Only public pages on your domain and its subdomains: your robots.txt, sitemap, RSS feed, the posts they list and the links inside them. We never log in and never submit forms.
- We follow robots.txt. Our crawler identifies itself as
BlogAI-Check. Disallow it, and we read nothing it covers. - We're polite. We read a few pages at a time, give up on slow pages, and stop after a short time limit. A site audited in the last 24 hours gets the earlier result instead of a new crawl.
Your email address and your data
- You don't need to give us an email address to see your results.
- If you ask us to email you the report, we use the address for that. The second box, for occasional tips, is optional and unticked. If you tick it and confirm from the email, we send a couple of short emails, the first about 2 days later, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Audits and their results are deleted after 30 days, unless you save one to a free account.
- Result links aren't listed anywhere or indexed by search engines. Anyone you share the link with can see the score and top problems.

Questions about the free blog audit
What is the free blog audit?
A quick look at your blog from the outside, with no account, no email and no Google access needed. In about 30 seconds you get a score out of 100 and the three problems worth fixing first, with examples from your own posts: things like posts hidden from Google, broken links, a missing sitemap, old or thin posts and missing search descriptions. A free account shows every issue and adds your Search Console data.
How is the audit score worked out?
Every site starts at 100, and each problem the audit finds takes points off by how serious it is: 15 for a serious one, 8 for a medium one and 3 for a minor one. The thresholds are the same for every site. A check we couldn't run, such as page speed when Google's service is busy, costs nothing.
What happens to my audit data?
We read only public pages and follow your robots.txt. Audits and their results are deleted after 30 days, unless you save one to a free account. We only have your email address if you ask us to email you the report, and we send tips only if you tick the separate box and confirm.
How do I stop the audit reading my site?
Add a rule for the user agent "BlogAI-Check" to your robots.txt. The audit follows robots.txt and reads nothing it disallows.
Can I use Blog AI for free?
Yes. Sign in with Google, add one site and connect Search Console, with no card. You get the content audit, your ranked list of suggested actions, the performance report, one AI-visibility snapshot of up to 5 questions, and one free post once Search Console has synced and you've set your voice. After that, plans start at $49 a month.
