Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Blog AI uses as little browser storage as it can. Only Google Analytics and the referral cookie, on our marketing pages, need your consent, and neither is set unless you accept.
What we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token (may be split into .0, .1) | Blog AI (Supabase Auth) | Keeps you signed in to the app | Until you sign out or the session expires | Strictly necessary |
bp_cookie_consent (local storage) | Blog AI | Remembers your cookie choice | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary |
| Current-site selection (local storage) | Blog AI | Remembers which of your sites you were working on | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary |
| Dismissed tips (local storage) | Blog AI | Remembers that you closed a tip in the app (e.g. the referral suggestion) | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits to our marketing pages and where they come from | Up to 2 years | Only if you click "Accept all" |
bp_ref | Blog AI | Marketing (referral tracking): after you open a friend's referral link, remembers which friend referred you, so you both get referral credits if you sign up on a later visit. Without it, a referral still counts if you sign up during the same visit (the link's code is carried in the page address, not stored) | 60 days, or until you sign up | Only if you click "Accept all" |
Product analytics without cookies
We use PostHog to see which features are used and to catch errors. It runs without cookies or local storage, so it cannot recognise you across visits and needs no consent.
Payments
Checkout and the billing portal are pages hosted by Stripe. Any cookies there are set by Stripe on its own domain for fraud prevention, under Stripe's cookie policy, not on blogaihq.com.
Your choice
On your first visit to our marketing pages a banner lets you accept Google Analytics and the referral cookie, or reject them. To change your mind at any time, use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any marketing page; rejecting removes the Google Analytics and referral cookies. Blocking the sign-in cookie stops you signing in to the app.
