What's new in Blog AI
New features, improvements and fixes, newest first. For what the product does today, see all features.
Choose the style of your site's images
Open Image style on the Sites page to pick how every image on your site looks, from a gallery of photo, illustration, 3D and abstract styles, each with a sample. Describe the style in your own words, set your colours and logo, or choose a branded header with your title on your colours instead of an AI image. You can also upload up to three images you like: Blog AI reads their style, never what's in them, and fills in the settings for you to check. Images now show what the post is actually about, not a symbol for it.
See where AI answers cite your pages
A new AI answers card on the Performance page shows which of your pages Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, and Bing's Copilot, show as sources, from the reports you download from Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. It also shows how often AI assistants cited you this week compared with last week. When answers mention you but link elsewhere, or keep citing another site for a question you've written about, your Actions list says what to add to your post.
Tell Blog AI the facts about your business
Add your prices, plans, opening hours and other key facts under Facts about your business on the Sites page. Blog AI uses them exactly as written instead of guessing, checks every post against them, and no longer flags your own figures as unsourced. It can also suggest facts from your website and reminds you when one hasn't been checked in a while.
Fact-check fixes now change the post for you
When Blog AI can't confirm a figure, Remove this sentence now takes it out of the post for you, after showing the paragraph before and after. Rewrite it suggests wording without the figure, and I've checked the source is for figures you know are right. A post can't be published while a figure you marked as removed is still in it.
Performance numbers up to yesterday
Performance, Home and post charts now include Google's early numbers for the last couple of days, shown lighter and marked as early, so your report is current to yesterday rather than three days ago. Suggestions and the audit still use Google's final numbers only.
Ideas that still fit your site
When you change what your site is about, Blog AI now re-checks the ideas waiting on your list and moves the ones that no longer fit into a hidden list you can restore at any time. If a topic doesn't suit your site, Blog AI now tells you why instead of showing an error, and no credits are used.
Posts built to be found by Google and AI answers
New posts now open with a short Key takeaways list and end with a Frequently asked questions section, both published to your site and fact-checked like the rest of the post. Each post also gets its own title for Google of 60 characters or fewer, image descriptions for screen readers and image search, and its focus keyword sent to Yoast or Rank Math. You can also add structured data so search engines understand the post; it's off where your SEO plugin already adds it.
Name the expert behind your posts
Set an author for each site, with their role and a short bio, and change it on any post. Blog AI fills in your site's author field, so Google and AI tools can see a real person stands behind the advice. When a refresh or update changes a live post, its updated date moves too; the original publish date never changes.
Lighter images, faster pages
Images are now resized and saved in the WebP format before they reach your site, typically about 70% smaller, with their size set so the page doesn't jump while loading. WordPress sites that can't take WebP get a compressed JPEG instead.
See what Blog AI has done for you
A new Results page shows, for each site, the posts Blog AI wrote and the clicks they've had since going live, the changes you approved and how each post did in the four weeks after compared with the four weeks before, next to how the rest of your site did over the same weeks. It also counts the facts checked and the problems caught before publishing. The monthly What's new email now includes a short summary with a link.
Keep your Google search history for up to 5 years
Google Search Console only keeps 16 months. On paid plans, Blog AI now keeps your monthly search totals for up to 5 years, so the longer you stay, the more history you have that Google itself no longer shows. Pick All history on the Performance page to see it. If you downgrade or cancel, nothing is deleted for 30 days.
Better at spotting robot searches
Ranking tools sometimes run the same Google search thousands of times, which inflates a page's impressions while nobody clicks. Blog AI now checks the devices and countries behind a sudden jump before leaving it out of its suggestions, tells you why in plain words, and keeps real growth from people even when few of them click yet.
Free blog audit in about 30 seconds
Enter any website at blogaihq.com/free-blog-audit and get a score out of 100 and the three problems worth fixing first, with examples from your own posts. No sign-up and no email needed. It checks for posts hidden from Google, broken links, a missing sitemap, old, short or duplicate posts, images without alt text and page speed. Create a free account to see every issue, then connect Search Console to add posts losing traffic, close to page one or not yet indexed.
Ideas that cover your whole business
Each batch of ideas is now a mix: about half from what people search for, about a third for parts of your business you haven't written about lately, and the rest building on topics that already bring visitors, so ideas don't just chase last month's clicks. Every idea says which part of the mix it fills and why. A new Balance panel on the Ideas page shows each area's last post, posts in the last 90 days and clicks, and lets you set an area to high, normal, low or off. Auto-schedule also avoids putting two posts on the same topic back to back.
The right call to action on every post
Say what each call to action is for, and pick the categories it fits. New posts then get the one for their topic, so a post about one course never ends with an offer for another, and anything that fits nothing gets your general one. Each post shows which call to action it has and why, and Re-match suggests the best one for posts you imported. When five or more posts on a topic have no call to action that fits, Actions offers to draft one that links to one of your own pages, saved switched off for you to check.
Posts arrive in the right category
New posts are filed in the category from your site's own list that fits best, with a one-line reason, and Blog AI never makes up a new one. On each post, a Category picker in Publishing lists your categories by how often you use them, shows subcategories like "Guides › Payments", and warns you before a new category would be created on your site.
Posts land in the right subcategory on WordPress
A post in a subcategory such as Guides › Payments now goes under the right parent on your WordPress site, using the categories you already have and adding only what's missing, so you never end up with two of the same. Imported posts keep their subcategories too. Strapi gets the subcategory's own name, and webhooks now also send the full path.
See which posts aren't on Google, right on Home
Home now opens with an Action required card when any of your live posts aren't on Google yet. Each one has a Request indexing button that opens Search Console on that post, so you can ask Google to look at it in a minute.
Schedule posts from the calendar, or let auto-schedule fill it
Every post on the calendar now has a Schedule button, and Schedule a post at the top lets you pick any draft and a time, on a phone too. Mark a finished post Ready to publish, turn on auto-schedule, pick your days, a time and how many posts a week, and Blog AI places each ready post in your next free slot, in your own time zone. Auto-scheduled posts carry an Auto tag, and you can move or unschedule any of them.
A friendly nudge when your blog goes quiet
If a site hasn't published for 14 days and nothing is scheduled for the next week, Blog AI emails you a few of your unused ideas, each with a link to write it, and a link to your calendar. Posts you publish outside Blog AI count too. You get one more reminder at 30 days at most, then none until you post again. The same nudge shows on your dashboard. Choose 7, 14 or 30 days, or switch the emails off, in Settings.
See when Google has indexed your new posts
Each new post now shows whether Google has indexed it yet, checked through your Search Console about 2, 5, 10, 15 and 21 days after it goes live, with a plain explanation and a button that opens Search Console where you can request indexing. Posts still not on Google after a week show up in Actions. On WordPress, version 1.3.0 of the Blog AI Connector plugin also tells Bing and other IndexNow search engines about new and updated posts, straight from your site.
Fill in About this site with your own AI
About this site has a new Prompt for your AI button. It copies a short prompt you can paste into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot, which already know your business. Paste the answer back and Blog AI fills in the form for you to check and save.
Images with more character, in your site's own look
Generated images no longer default to the stock-photo look. Pick a style (editorial or cinematic photo, flat, painted or line illustration, 3D, paper collage or retro poster), a mood and a framing, or leave them on Match my site: Blog AI writes a short visual look for your site from its brief and voice, uses it for every image so they look like a set, and lets you edit it.
Faster Google data, with history set by plan
Search Console and Analytics data is now stored more compactly, so syncing large sites is quicker and more reliable. Paid plans keep 16 months of Google history (the most Search Console offers) and the free plan keeps the last 3 months. Each post's daily figures are kept in full; older search terms and non-blog pages are kept as monthly totals.
Connect any Strapi blog
Strapi sites no longer need to be set up like ours. When you connect, Blog AI lists your collections, suggests the one with your blog posts, and matches its fields to yours, including SEO fields inside components, categories, tags, authors and Strapi's Blocks rich text. Strapi 4 and 5 are both supported, and large blogs import in batches.
Free-plan posts carry a small Blog AI credit
Posts published on the free plan now end with "Produced in partnership with Blog AI". Where your platform supports it, "Blog AI" is a nofollow link, so it passes no search ranking from your site; elsewhere it's plain text. On a paid plan it's off unless you switch it on in Settings.
Your posts' web addresses never change after publishing
Publishing a post again, rescheduling it, or a delayed scheduled post going live no longer sends its address to your site. If you edit a post's address in Blog AI after it's live, your site keeps the original address so existing links keep working, and Blog AI tells you so.
Tell Blog AI what you know
Before a post is written, Blog AI can ask you one to three short questions only your business can answer, such as what you charge or the mistake customers usually make. Your answers go into the post as your own experience, and the fact check lists them as "From you". Answering is optional.
Posts take the shape and length people are searching for
Each idea now comes with a suggested type and length, such as a cost guide, a step-by-step guide or a comparison, with a one-line reason taken from your search data. You can change it, or leave it on "Let the data decide". You can also write about a topic of your own: Blog AI checks it against your existing posts and shows the matching searches first.
Topic clusters from your own search data
A new Topic clusters page groups the searches your site appears for into topics, shows where you're strong, thin or overlapping, and ranks them by what brings you visits and conversions. Plan up to five posts for a topic in one click; nothing is written until you choose to.
Link it in: your older posts link to your new one
After you publish, Blog AI suggests adding a link to the new post from two or three older posts that already get visits for related searches. Each suggestion changes one sentence, you see it highlighted, and nothing changes until you click Apply. It's free.
Setup and troubleshooting guides for every connection
The help centre now has a full guide for each way of connecting your site and Google, with the exact messages you might see and how to fix each one, plus a Connection troubleshooting page. When a connection test fails, the error links straight to it.
A monthly note on what's new
Customers now get a short monthly email about what's improved in Blog AI, and the dashboard shows a dot next to What's new when there's something you haven't seen. You can turn the email off any time in Settings or with the link in every email.
Google badges update after you disconnect
After disconnecting Google from a site, the Search Console and Google Analytics badges on the site card now update straight away instead of still showing as connected.
"About this site" is easier to find
If you haven't told Blog AI what your site is for yet, the "About this site" section on the Sites page now opens by itself and stands out, with "Draft it for me" ready to use. Once it's saved, it folds down to a one-line summary you can edit. The "Why isn't this performing?" card on a post links straight to it when it's missing.
"Why isn't this performing?" for every post
Each published post now gets a plain-English answer to why it isn't doing better: it's not about what your business does, it's weakly written (with the one or two things to fix), it has a search problem, or it's simply too new to judge. You get one recommended next step, and the content audit uses the same recommendation, so a post never shows two. It's free.
"Better title & description in Google" is now free
Writing a new Google title and description for a post no longer costs credits. Blog AI offers it when your search data shows it's needed: the post is at least four weeks old and is shown often but rarely clicked, or it has no description at all. It can be used once every four weeks per post.
Rewrite post: a full rewrite in your site's voice
Next to Refresh post there's now Rewrite post, for posts that need more than a touch-up. Blog AI rewrites every section in your voice and for what your site is about, keeping the topic, the facts that are still correct, your images and useful links. You review it side by side before anything changes on your site, and the post keeps its address. It costs 3 credits.
Refreshes now fix short and thin posts, not just search problems
A refresh used to plan almost entirely from Search Console, so a short post with little search data barely changed. Now it also works from good blogging practice: it expands posts that are too short to answer their question, writes a missing Google description and adds links to your related posts. The progress page and the proposal show what the refresh set out to do.
Tell Blog AI what your site is for
Each site now has an "About this site" section: what the business does, who it's for, what the blog should achieve, and whether the site used to be about something else. Ideas, new posts, refreshes and Google titles follow it, and searches that have nothing to do with your business (often left over from an old direction) no longer drive suggestions. "Draft it for me" writes a first version for you to check.
Titles with "&" no longer show as "&"
In some cases a title or description containing an ampersand or a quote mark was saved, and sent to the live site, with a code such as "&" in place of the character. Blog AI now always stores and sends these fields as plain text.
Better featured images, set and sent automatically
Generated images are now clean photos or illustrations with no text, labels or charts in them. Leave the description blank and Blog AI suggests a scene from the post. The first featured image you generate becomes the post's featured image, and if you add or change it after a post is live, Update live post sends it to your site.
See the product before you sign up
The home page, How it works and the feature pages now show real screenshots of Blog AI, on a fictional business's example data, so you can see what you'll get before connecting anything.
A clear message when image generation is unavailable
If the image service turns a request away, you now see a plain explanation instead of a bare "Forbidden" error, and no credit is charged.
Tidier blog post layout
On the Blog AI blog, a post's title and cover image now line up with the text of the post, with the sidebar beside them.
Home now leads with your results, plus a new Actions page
Home opens with a short summary of how your blog is doing and what changed, your clicks from Google with a weekly chart marking when you joined and when posts went out, and your top three next steps with the extra clicks each could bring. The full list of suggestions now lives on its own Actions page.
Disconnect Google from inside Blog AI
You can now disconnect your Google account from the Sites page or from Settings, under Connected accounts. Blog AI stops reading your Search Console and Analytics data and removes its access at your Google account. You can reconnect at any time.
Publish anywhere with a webhook
Alongside WordPress and Strapi, you can now connect a site with a webhook. Blog AI sends each finished post, with its SEO fields and featured image, to Zapier, Make, n8n or your own server, so it can reach any platform those tools can.
Calls to action on your posts
Add up to five calls to action per site, such as "Book a free consultation", and Blog AI adds one to the end of each post it writes when it's published, taking turns so each gets its share. You can pick a specific one or none for any post, and links are tagged so you can see the visits in your analytics. Free.
Post ideas use the right year
Idea titles sometimes mentioned last year. Blog AI now always knows today's date when suggesting ideas.
Our own guides reach Bing and ChatGPT search sooner
New and updated pages and posts on blogaihq.com are now announced to Bing (which ChatGPT search uses) and other search engines as soon as they go live, through IndexNow.
A help centre, pricing details and guides on the website
The website now has a searchable help centre with step-by-step articles, a full pricing page with what each action costs, pages on security and integrations, and in-depth guides on the blog.
The free site check is honest about blocked sites
When a site's bot protection stops the free site check from reading it, the report now says so plainly instead of saying no blog posts were found.
Give 10, get 10: refer a friend
Every account has a personal referral link under Refer a friend. When someone you refer signs up and pays for their first month on any plan, you both get 10 bonus credits.
Blog AI is live
Blog AI finds what your customers search for in your own Google Search Console data, writes posts in your voice with sources it has checked, and publishes them to WordPress or Strapi. It then shows you which posts bring visitors, which are slipping and what to fix next. A free content audit, a free site check and a free first post are included, with no card needed.
Start with the data you already have
Sign in with Google, no card needed. The free plan includes a content audit and one free post once Search Console has synced and you've set your voice. Plans from $49/month.
