Every image Blog AI makes for a site follows that site's image style: photos, illustrations, 3D, abstract, or no AI image at all. You choose it once, on the Sites page, and every new image matches it. You can still pick a different style for a single post.
Choose a style
- Open the Sites page and find your site.
- Open Image style. You'll see a gallery of styles, each with a sample image of the same scene so you can compare them: editorial, lifestyle and product photos; editorial illustration, flat vector, line art, watercolour, gouache, paper collage, risograph, isometric and retro poster; 3D renders; and abstract gradients, patterns and textures.
- Click the style you like. Choose Let Blog AI choose if you'd rather Blog AI picks one from what your site is about and your colours.
- Click Save image style.
Branded header is different: no AI image at all. Your post title is set large on a pattern in your brand colours, with your logo. It's free, and it's only used for featured images; images inside a post use your site's look instead.
Describe it in your own words
Under Describe your style, write what you want, for example "warm film photos of real workshops, late-afternoon light, never cartoons". Your words go with every image and always win over anything Blog AI chose.
Colours, title and logo
- Colours are read from your website. Change any swatch, remove one or add your own, and they become yours: Blog AI won't replace them. Use my website's colours hands them back.
- Show the title on featured images draws the post title in a small panel in your colours. Leave it off if your theme already shows the title over the image.
- Logo is found on your website the first time it's needed. Paste the address of another logo (PNG or SVG works best), or click No logo.
Start from an image you like
- Under Start from an image, click Upload an image. Choose up to 3 JPEG, PNG or WebP images of at most 10 MB each: your own photos, a past campaign, a poster you like.
- Blog AI reads their style only (medium, colours, light, composition and mood), never what's in them, and fills in the style, colours and description for you.
- Check what it filled in, change anything you like, then click Save image style.
Tick Use my image as a style reference to send your image with every image request, so new images match its look more closely. Only its style is used; the people, objects and places in it aren't copied. Remove an image with its bin button.
What a post's image shows
Blog AI shows what the post is actually about, in your readers' world: a post on updating old blog posts shows a post being edited, a post on prices shows prices being set. It doesn't use symbols or metaphors to stand in for the topic. Screens, charts and documents can appear for posts about software or websites, but never with readable text.
What it costs
Choosing a style, uploading reference images and reading their style are free. Each generated image costs 1 credit, whatever the style. A branded header is free.
