Export your data or delete your account
Download everything Blog AI holds about you as JSON or CSV, or delete your account for good: what is removed, what stays on your site, what we must keep.

Your data is yours. At any time you can download everything Blog AI holds about you, or delete your account for good. Both are in Settings, under Your data and Delete account, and neither needs you to contact anyone.
Export your data
- Open Settings. Go to Settings and scroll to Your data (or pick it from the section list at the top).
- Download everything as JSON. Click Export my data (JSON). You get one file with your profile, sites, posts, pages, ideas, suggestions, credit history, subscription, payments and the emails we've sent you. JSON is a standard format that developers and many tools can read.
- Or download spreadsheets. Under Or as a spreadsheet (CSV), click any of Posts, Pages, Ideas, Suggestions, Credit history, Payments or Emails sent to download that part as a CSV file you can open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
What's left out on purpose: your WordPress application password, Strapi API token and Google access. They're security credentials, never shown to anyone, including you. Your sites are exported without them.
Invoices and receipts are in Stripe; download them from Manage subscription & invoices on the Billing page.
Before you delete your account
Deleting is permanent and happens straight away. There's no undo and no waiting period. Before you go:
- Export anything you want to keep, as above. Your posts are safe on your own website, but drafts and unpublished posts exist only in Blog AI.
- Download your invoices from Stripe if you need them for your records.
- Know that unused credits are lost. Credits have no cash value, and the current month of your plan isn't refunded.
If you only want to stop paying, you can cancel your plan instead and keep the free plan. See Plans, upgrades, downgrades and cancelling.
Delete your account
- Open Settings and go to Delete account.
- Click Delete my account.
- Type your email address to confirm. It must match the address on your account.
- Click Delete account permanently.
You'll be signed out, and we email you a confirmation that your account was deleted.

What we have to keep
A few records outlive an account, with nothing in them that identifies you:
- Payment records, for six years, because Irish tax law requires it. They're kept without a link to you.
- The credit ledger, the accounting record of credits granted and spent, also without a link to you, so our books still add up.
- A scrambled form of your email address, only if an email to it bounced or was marked as spam, so we never email that address again by mistake.
- A note that an account was deleted, with no contact details, so we can show we honoured the request.
- The web address of a site that used the free post or free AI-visibility snapshot, with no personal data, so a new account can't claim them again for the same site.
- Referral records, with your side unlinked, so referral limits still work.
Stripe keeps its own copies of invoices, as payment providers must. The privacy policy lists everything we store, why, and for how long.
Common questions
Can I delete one site instead of my whole account?
Yes. Remove the site from Sites or in Settings under Sites & writing style. It deletes that site's data from Blog AI and leaves the rest of your account, and your website, as they are.
Can I come back later?
Yes, by signing in with Google again, which creates a fresh, empty account. Nothing from the deleted account can be restored, and the free post isn't available again for a site that already used it.
Something went wrong during deletion
Deletion starts by cancelling your subscription with Stripe. If that step fails, nothing is deleted, the page shows the error, and you can try again. If it keeps failing, contact us.
Security
